Press Release Body: VIENNA (Austria), October 1, 2008 – AIM Software, a leading provider of reference data manage-ment solutions to the financial industry, announced today that European Fund Administration has decided to upgrade to AIM Software’s flagship Golden Copy solution with a view to optimizing the processing of reference data from Telekurs and Bloomberg.
Since 2004 European Fund Administration SA (www.efa.lu), one of the primary providers of outsourc-ing solutions for investment companies and banks in Luxemburg, has been relying on GAIN for the automation and integration of Telekurs Information into its IT environment. Due to a growth in vol-umes and the need to integrate data from further sources, it became necessary for EFA to take in a central data management platform with extended validation facilities.
The decision for AIM Software’s GoldenCopy solution followed a comparative analysis of proven data management suites. EFA chose GAIN GoldenCopy mainly for its flexibility and modularity: “We re-quired a solution which meets our demand for high quality static data derived from Bloomberg and Telekurs as well as internal sources” explains Jean Marc Verdure, Chief Information Officer at EFA, “GAIN GoldenCopy meets our criteria and stands out with its track record with more than 100 refer-ences worldwide and the breadth of functionalities. This project will help us to achieve a consider-able reduction of total costs and processing effort.”
EFA is currently upgrading to the GoldenCopy version of GAIN which comprises a central rule engine and further pre-built tools for improving data quality. Furthermore, EFA will draw upon the workflow facilities in GAIN to increase the degree of automation of the data management processes.
After a project duration of only four months, AIM Software (www.aimsoftware.com) already de-ployed the fully customized solution at EFA for final tests with a planned going live in November. “This rapid implementation became possible by utilizing GAIN’s comprehensive model parameteriza-tion which delivers a standard set of mappings, workflows and rules as well as predefined processes derived from our experience from previous projects,” explains Josef Sommeregger, Head of Business Development and Sales “By using best practice adapted to the specific needs of our client, we aim at ensuring a faster ROI for EFA.”
“AIM Software is pleased to welcome EFA in the extensive GAIN GoldenCopy user pool," adds Martin Buchberger, Head of Marketing and Sales at AIM Software. "Based on its modularity, GAIN bridges the gap for our clients between a solution that solves their business challenges today, while provid-ing them with an extensible application platform for the future.”
